When you make a play that’s catch-of-the-year worthy in college football like Romello Brinson did in the Miami Hurricanes’ win over Central Connecticut State last Saturday, you’re going to catch people’s attention.
And not just the attention of his teammates, past or present, family and friends. Or former NFL All-Pro wide receiver Chad Johnson, a Miami native who reached out to Brinson after he seeing Brinson’s one-handed touchdown catch over Blue Devils cornerback Dexter Lawson Jr.
But also the attention of a national audience, with Brinson’s catch being the No. 1 play on Sunday morning’s edition of SportsCenter Top 10 — a moment Brinson never said he’d imagine happening.
