The Miami Hurricanes’ 2021 recruiting class is still not adding commitments through the first weekend of July.
UM missed out on a pair of four-star targets that announced commitments on Sunday. Orlando Lake Nona defensive lineman Zane Durant chose Penn State, and American Heritage cornerback Jacolby Spells opted for West Virginia with their non-binding pledges. Miami was in the final three for each, with Indiana the other school in the mix, but both can still change their minds before December’s Early Signing Period.
Although there is confidence within the program that significant headway has been made with several other top prospects in the heavy college visit month of June, Miami’s class remains at three commitments: quarterback Jacurri Brown, cornerback Khamauri Rogers and wide receiver Landon Ibieta.
