One of the positives in the two months since the coronavirus pandemic cut the Miami Hurricanes’ spring football practice slate short has been a greater focus on recruiting.
In the 2021 recruiting class, UM has added four commitments since the outbreak of COVID-19 first caused teams and prospects alike to stay at home: Chaminade-Madonna defensive tackle Allan Haye, Fort Myers Bishop Verot cornerback Malik Curtis, Miami Columbus offensive lineman Ryan Rodriguez and four-star tight end Elijah Arroyo from Frisco, Texas.
Miami also added Stoneman Douglas offensive tackle Michael McLaughlin in early March just before the pandemic really took off in the United States and recently got the transfer of Florida offensive lineman and four-star Miami Norland prospect Issiah Walker, who was already enrolled this spring as a college freshman.
