The Houston Dynamo further strengthened their goalkeeping corps Friday by signing Cody Cropper.
Cropper last played for the New England Revolution, where he started sporadically between 2016-19 after stints in England with Southampton and Milton Keynes Dons. The Dynamo, who also purchased Croatian shot-stopper Marko Mariu010d from German Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim two weeks ago, didn’t release contract information for Cropper’s transfer. A source told Pro Soccer USA it’s a three-year deal.
The move re-unites Cropper with Houston coach Tab Ramos, who is entering his first season at the helm of a club team after two managerial stints with the United States U-20 men’s national team — once as an assistant, from 2009-11 and then as head coach from 2011-19.
