Foundation, in a final four for the first time in its football history, is playing at Jacksonville University Christian with a state championship berth on the line.
Teams in the larger classifications are playing region finals tonight and will have state semifinals next week. The other area teams still alive are Apopka, Edgewater, Jones, Lake Mary, Lake Minneola, Osceola and Seminole.
Class 8A showdowns tonight include Lake Mary at Apopka, Bartram Trail at Sanford Seminole and Kissimmee Osceola at Newsome High School of the Tampa Bay area.
Both parties will soon be starting anew. Doss confirmed earlier this week that he is stepping down after 12 seasons to accept a new job outside of football.
