Flores believes 16-year veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick gives the Dolphins the best chance to win. And while Tua Tagovailoa’s development is going well, it has not well enough for him to be the starter at this point in his rookie season.
Flores shared both sentiments on Wednesday as the Dolphins (1-3) continue to prepare for their Week 5 road game against the San Francisco 49ers (2-2) on Sunday.
“Look he can go in on any snap. Obviously, we’re confident that he can play just like any backup player,” Flores said of Tagovailoa, who has been active for every game this season, close to 11 months removed from his hip injury he suffered last November.
