High school girls wrestling moved closer to being sanctioned by the FHSAA on Wednesday when it was passed unanimously by the ADAC for the second consecutive year, setting the stage for one more step before becoming official.
“It’s usually easier the second time after getting the unanimous approval the first time but we did a good job presenting it,” Crowder said of the group.
Next up for girls wrestling is approval from the FHSAA Board of Directors. That meeting will likely take place in June, but has not been confirmed yet.
If girls wrestling is approved by the Board of Directors, they will then decide a timeline on starting.
