Raymond Cutts owes a great deal of gratitude to former UCF coach Josh Heupel for kicking him off the football team in 2020.
Cutts, a redshirt freshman defensive lineman from the 2019 signing class, was arrested twice in 2020, and spent one night in jail.
“While I was there, I was just thinking about football and all of the people I had let down,” Cutts said. “I was really thinking about my grandfather because I didn’t want him to find out.”
Both arrests stemmed from the same incident — burglary of a vehicle and a stolen gun charge.
