GAINESVILLE — Florida playmaker extraordinaire Kadarius Toney has played his final game for the Gators, announcing Monday he planned to sit out the Cotton Bowl so he could begin training for the NFL.
Fellow senior Trevon Grimes also disclosed he would not be playing Wednesday night against Oklahoma, leaving quarterback Kyle Trask without his top two wide receivers and star tight end Kyle Pitts. Pitts opted out of the game last week.
“I am so thankful to have been a part of the Florida program and will be forever grateful for my time in Gainesville,” Toney shared on his Twitter account.
