Gators set for hefty payday as SEC distributes $657 million

Florida benefited from another record year of Southeastern Conference revenue, with the league announcing Thursday it would distribute an average of $45.5 million per school.

The conference split $657.7 million of revenue among its 14 members for the 2019-20 fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31, 2020. It’s up slightly from last year’s figure of $651.0 million distributed following the 2018-19 fiscal year, averaging out to $44.6 million per school, not including bowl money retained by the individual schools.

The SEC distributed $637.7 million, while an additional $20 million was retained by schools that played in bowl games to help offset travel and other related bowl expenses.
