GAINESVILLE — Michael Trask and Melissa Charba met as Texas A&M students, soon discovering a shared passion for watching Jackie Sherrill’s Aggie football teams in the 1980s.
After the couple married and had their second son a decade later, Michael and Melissa named him Kyle, a nod to those carefree Saturdays spent at Kyle Field.
“People assumed we named him for Kyle Field ... maybe we did,” Michael said Tuesday. “It is just a name we liked and would say, ‘Kyle ... like Kyle Field.’”
When the SEC teams dropped nonconference opponents and the SEC adjusted league schedules due to the coronavirus pandemic, a Saturday visit to Texas A&M was added in Week 3.
