GAINESVILLE — The speed of the game shocked Florida defensive lineman Gervon Dexter as a heralded freshman still relatively new to football.
Perhaps no Gator has pursued name, image and likeness opportunities with the purpose and planning Dexter has shown this summer.
Once the new law went into effect July 1, the 20-year-old sophomore hired agent Mark Bailey and soon became the SEC’s first defensive lineman to sign a deal, partnering with College HUNKs moving company to help it establish a franchise in Gainesville. Dexter then became a spokesperson for a company, growcredit.com, that helps young adults establish their credit score.
