GAINESVILLE — In the what-have-you-done-for-me-lately world of big-time college football, Florida tailback Malik Davis has not done much of anything lately.
The 14-day layoff until Monday due to a COVID-19 outbreak was particularly grueling for Davis. The redshirt junior’s last carry ended in a costly fumble to seal his team’s fate during an Oct. 10 loss at Texas A&M.
“It was mentally a challenge, you know, when you make a mistake right there on the field,” Davis said this week. "Just as a competitor that I am, you’re anxious to get back out there. It was just tough.
