GAINESVILLE — Florida inside linebacker Ventrell Miller, the Gators’ leading tackler in 2020, is out for season with torn biceps tendon suffered against USF.
The Athletic first reported Miller underwent surgery to repair the injury and would be out indefinitely. The loss of Miller two games into the 2021 season is a setback for UF’s defense as the No. 11 Gators (2-0) prepare to host top-ranked Alabama (2-0) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Swamp.
The Crimson Tide average 46 points a game behind redshirt freshman quarterback Bryce Young, who has seven touchdown passes and no interceptions in 2021.
