Terrance Gibbs, one of the most sought-after running backs out of the Orlando area in the past decade, made his college choice Friday night, committing to the Florida Gators at their annual Friday Night Lights camp.
Gibbs, a 6-foot, 190-pound bruiser-type running back at Winter Park, picked the Gators over Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Miami, LSU, FSU and UCF among his 30 other offers. He did not play last season after tearing his ACL on a fluke injury trying to adjust himself as he went out of bounds during preseason practice. He was trying to avoid a temporary tent set up for COVID-19 social distancing.
