The Miami Hurricanes don’t know yet how they’ll divvy up running back reps in games, but it’ll be tough for UM to keep freshmen Jaylan Knighton and Donald Chaney Jr. off the field behind starter Cam’Ron Harris.
Both have made immediate impressions in fall camp after enrolling early for the spring, which was cut short four practices in due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the Hurricanes’ first training camp scrimmage, Knighton, a Deerfield Beach High alum, carried 10 times for 126 yards. Chaney, out of Miami Belen High, went for 57 yards on 11 attempts. Each had a touchdown.
