Four-star tight end Elijah Arroyo committed to the Hurricanes Sunday night, becoming the 14th player in Miami’s 2021 recruiting class. Arroyo announced his decision on his Twitter account.
Arroyo, who plays for Independence High in Frisco, Texas, is rated the No. 13 tight end and No. 329 overall player in the 2021 class by 247Sports’ composite ranking.
Arroyo, who is only current member of Miami’s recruiting class from outside Florida, chose the Hurricanes over offers from Alabama, Auburn and Texas A&M, among others.
Arroyo is the fifth four-star prospect in the Hurricanes’ recruiting class. He joins local standouts like Chaminade-Madonna running back Thad Franklin, Chaminade kicker Andres Borregales, Chaminade defensive lineman Allan Haye and Stoneman Douglas offensive lineman Michael McLaughlin in Miami’s 2021 recruiting class.
