Four players were selected in Stage One of the 2019 MLS Re-Entry Draft Tuesday: left back Mikey Ambrose, defender Eric Miller, and goalkeepers Kendall McIntosh and Richard Sanchez.
Inter Miami CF selected Ambrose, who played for Atlanta United last season, with the first pick. The four-year MLS veteran, who previously represented the Philadelphia Union, has made 25 competitive appearances.
Nashville SC traded Vancouver Whitecaps FC its natural 25th pick and a second round 2020 MLS SuperDraft pick to acquire the second pick in Tuesday’s draft.
With the second pick, Nashville picked Miller, a league journeyman who has represented the Montreal Impact, Colorado Rapids, Minnesota United, and New York City FC.
