Winter Garden Foundation Academy defensive end Bryan Thomas Jr. committed to play at South Carolina on Thursday, picking the Gamecocks over West Virginia.
Thomas Jr., whose father played at UAB and spent 11 seasons in the NFL, had 15 other Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship offers, but his visit to South Carolina sealed the decision.
“Me and my parents, we sat down and had a long talk about it and put our pros and cons together and it just added up and we made a decision to go with South Carolina,” Thomas Jr. said.
