Orlando area girls basketball teams will clash Thursday for a chance to advance to the FHSAA Class 2A state final four next week in Lakeland.
Foundation Academy (15-7) won 44-38 at home vs. Central Florida Christian Academy (14-6) and Kissimmee City of Life (13-6) avenged a district championship loss at Lakeland Victory Christian (15-6) in region semifinal outings Tuesday.
Foundation, which trailed CFCA 29-27 after three quarters, plays in a region final for the first time since losing in back-to-back trips in 2012 and 2013, according to the FHSAA championship record book.
Zoe Sedo led the way for the Lions with 23 points, 4 steals and 3 rebounds while Landry Wolverton pulled down 12 rebounds.
