Lewis Neal suited up six months ago and took on the daunting task of replacing an injured Kaká at center midfield as Orlando City wrapped up its inaugural MLS season, but the thought of playing at that level again made the veteran laugh.
"I think my days of that are probably long gone, if I'm honest," Neal said. "I'll probably get a little more enjoyment in seeing one or two of our younger guys get called up [to MLS,] that would be what I would like to see for sure."
Neal's new role as team captain and mentor of Orlando City B will kick off at 7:30 Saturday night during the USL team's season opener against Wilmington Hammerheads FC at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne.
