Kenny Stills was among 87 protesters arrested outside Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s home Tuesday night as they advocated for the arrests of the police officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor in March.
Stills, who spent spent four seasons with the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Houston Texans at the start of the 2019 season, has been one of the NFL’s most vocal voices for social justice issues. He’s been one of a handful of NFL players who has consistently knelt in support of Colin Kaepernick’s crusade for social justice since 2016.
Stills, who started five of the 13 games he played for the Texans last season and caught 40 passes, which he turned into 561 yards and four touchdowns, has knelt during the playing of the national anthem for every NFL game he’s played in since the 2016 season.
