Romario Williams is going back to a league that he has thrived in.
Miami FC — which will begin play in the USL Championship in 2020 — announced Wednesday that it had signed Williams to its roster for the upcoming season. It is the first signing the club has made since announcing it would join the Championship this season.
“After meeting Romario and his family, we are convinced that his is not only an outstanding player, but an outstanding person who will be an asset on and off the field,” Miami FC president Paul Dalglish said in a statement.
