Kenard Lang is accustomed to finding athletes roaming the hallways of Orlando-area high schools. It’s been no different at Evans High, where Lang, the former NFL star, has started his first season coaching at his alma mater.
Lang was previously the head football coach at Orlando Jones and Wekiva high schools, prior to moving on to FIU, where he was the defensive line coach before returning to his roots.
It didn’t take him long to find more players for the football team at Evans. Henry Calixte was his first, and the big tight end has made Lang’s player scouting look quite good from Day 1.
