The Florida High School Athletic Association will hold a 5 p.m. meeting today via the Zoom online platform to discuss the start date for fall sports practices and attempt to clarify plans to resume sports for a 2020-21 school year that is threatened by the coronavirus outbreak.
A starting point for today’s discussion is a recommendation by the FHSAA Fall Sports Task Force, which met three times over the past four weeks, to push the first allowed day of fall practice back at least two weeks — from July 27 to Aug. 10 or later.
