Former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jarren Williams has decided on Garden City Community College as his transfer destination, according to multiple reports.
A starter as a redshirt freshman last season, Williams has three years of college eligibility remaining. By playing at a junior college, he does not have to sit out next fall, which he likely would have had he transferred to another Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) school.
Williams won a preseason quarterback competition over N’Kosi Perry and Tate Martell ahead of the 2019 season to be named UM’s starter. He threw for 2,187 yards, 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions, completing 169 of 276 passes (61.
