Eustis sophomore pitcher Libby Levendoski struck out 13 batters Thursday morning while helping the Panthers advance to the FHSAA Class 4A softball state championship game.
Levendoski yielded just three hits and did not issue a walk as Eustis (26-1) won 2-0 against Orange Park Ridgeview (26-4) in a semifinal matchup of the top two teams in the latest MaxPreps 4A rankings.
The No. 1 Panthers face a semifinal winner between No. 3 Brooksville Hernando (25-4) and No. 4 Plantation American Heritage (15-8) in a state final on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Legends Way Ball Fields in Clermont.
