Mired in the recruiting abyss in rural Eustis, Roman continues to find it difficult to get much attention from college recruiters.
“I take it as that, but I feel like I can compete with anybody in the nation. That’s just how my attitude is,” Romano said. “And if I have the right coaches around me, they can put me in the right place to be successful.”
Last season, Romano threw for 2,126 yards and 22 touchdowns during a seven-game COVID-shortened season. He was the only quarterback in Central Florida to average 300 yards per game. Not only does Romano have a very strong arm, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound rising senior is very accurate.
