MIAMI GARDENS — The potential future protector of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s blind side agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins as players reported for training camp Tuesday.
Rookie offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg signed Tuesday, Dolphins coach Brian Flores said during his news conference on player report day. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but under the NFL’s rookie wage scale, Eichenberg was due a four-year deal worth $8,014,479, which includes a signing bonus of $3,188,712. That is the slot for where he was drafted in the second round, at No. 42.
Eichenberg, the Notre Dame alum, can now participate in Wednesday’s first practice.
