Yet another high school football season opened Friday night with a key Central Florida component missing from the sideline.
Coach Bob Head, former head football coach at Olympia and West Orange high schools, will not likely be coaching, once again, this season. It’s not that he hasn’t tried to get back out there. He’s pursued opportunities, although those weren’t really opportunities, as he quickly learned.
Coach Head was arrested on a domestic battery charge in January 2019. Within a few weeks, the charges were ultimately withdrawn as the Orange-Osceola state attorney’s office deemed the case not suitable for prosecution.
