Edgewater (2-1), playing for the first time in three weeks, came away with a turnover and game-winning touchdown in the final seconds Friday night to escape with a 31-24 win at Kissimmee Osceola (3-1) in a thrilling showdown of Sentinel Super 16 teams.
The Eagles (2-1) entered the game ranked No. 2 in the area. Osceola (3-1) came in at No. 6. Both teams lived up to the billing.
Jeremiah Connelly stripped Osceola quarterback Chad Mascoe of the ball after chasing him down from behind while the junior rolled to his left, and Bryce Turner scooped it up on a bounce near midfield and returned it for a score with 4.
