Edgewater’s DeShawn Troutman will be living out his dream next year. The 2021 linebacker, who was instrumental in the Eagles’ run to the Class 7A state title game last season, committed to his “dream school” Miami Wednesday night.
Troutman, who grew up in Miami until moving to Orlando at the beginning of his freshman year, said he has always been a Hurricanes fan.
“What motivated me to pick UM was, No. 1, that’s my hometown and that’s where I was born and raised,” Troutman said. “And No. 2, it’s always been a dream for me to go and play for the U and I’ve always been a lifelong ’Canes fan.
