Quarterback Canaan Mobley accounted for five touchdowns to propel Edgewater to a 47-14 homefield win against Ocala Forest in a Class 7A high school football playoff game on Friday night.
Two long touchdown passes by Mobley — a 56-yarder to Christian Leary and a 40-yarder to Tommi Hill — made it a 40-7 ballgame in the fourth quarter. Mobley completed 12 of his 16 pass attempts, including three TDs. He also ran for two scores.
Edgewater (4-2), the Class 7A state runner-up a year ago, will be home again next week against St. Cloud (5-2), which did not have a play-in game.
