Two years, nine months and seven days after being drafted by Orlando City in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, Earl Edwards Jr. finally got his first MLS start. The third year goalkeeper out of UCLA has been biding his time over the last few seasons and got a much deserved opportunity last Sunday. While the game didn’t go exactly as planned for a debut, Edwards was still glad he was able to ultimately get the chance he has been waiting for.
“Obviously excited to get my debut,” Edwards said after the match. “Been waiting a while to get that under my belt.
