It’s safe to say fans of Dr. Phillips and Olympia were looking forward to their rematch in the Class 7A, District 3 boys basketball final just two weeks after their first meeting.
Tickets for the game, albeit at a reduced 25% capacity (300 people), sold out in less than 40 minutes on Friday morning, according to Olympia athletic director Kevin McElween.
And the teams didn’t disappoint, again. After they went to overtime on Jan. 30, the rivals repeated that feat with DP edging the host Titans again, 51-50, with a flurry of action in the final moments.
