“I didn’t really remember it very well. I kind of went out blind. I was thinking I’d just have fun and see what I can do,” Valdes said of his Saturday round at the Winter Park Invitational.
What he did was tear it up. Valdes shot a 10-under-par 62 to run away from a talented field and tie the course record at one of Central Florida’s most fabled courses.
