The Miami Dolphins have parted ways with a valuable former draft pick who was unable to see the field for the last two seasons.
Cornerback Cordrea Tankersley was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday, ending his disappointing stint with the team, which began when they selected him in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft.
Tankersley, who tore his ACL during a practice in November 2018 and did not play in 2019, was one of three players first listed on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list on July 27. He was removed from the team’s COVID list before being released.
