DAVIE — One thing is clear from the first week of Dolphins camp: The Dolphins’ defense is ahead of the offense, which is to be expected, as quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Rosen struggled on Friday.
The Dolphins loaded up their defense with a bunch of new players, such as outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and edge rusher Emmanuel Ogbah, who both had sacks on Friday. The duo joins returning starters such as safety Bobby McCain, who also had a sack.
Wide receiver Preston Williams looks like he’s close to 100 percent as can be from a ACL year he sustained last season.
