MIAMI GARDENS — Don’t call it a comeback, but Michael Deiter’s mission in his third training camp is to regain a starting spot on the Miami Dolphins offensive line.
Deiter, who started all but one game as Miami’s left guard in 2019, was relegated to a backup last season as he transitioned to center.
Fast forward a season and Deiter’s a contender in one of the most heated camp battles as he competes with Matt Skura and Tom Cameron for the starting center spot vacated by the free-agent defection of Ted Karras, who returned to New England.
