The Dolphins will sign veteran punter and South Florida native Michael Palardy, a league source confirmed to the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Friday.
The move confirms Miami has moved on from punter Matt Haack, who was with the team for the past three seasons and will officially become a free agent on Wednesday.
Palardy, who is from Margate and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, will return to football after missing the 2020 NFL season because he tore his ACL while playing basketball in the offseason.
Palardy was previously with the Carolina Panthers since 2016.
