Adam Shaheen just spent the past five days away from the Miami Dolphins because of a COVID-19 outbreak took place in the tight end unit.
However, because the backup tight end is an unvaccinated player he needed to produce five negative COVID-19 tests to get back into the facility so he could practice and attend meetings.
If he were vaccinated, Shaheen’s exposure to offensive coordinator George Godsey and Mike Gesicki, who have missed an entire week of training, wouldn’t have cost him any downtime because of the NFL’s new COVID-19 rules, which have loosened this season for vaccinated players.
