Jordan Scarlett shined in the backfield at University School and St. Thomas Aquinas, before starring at the University of Florida.
Now, the Miami Dolphins will see if the South Florida product can provide a spark to an offense in need of some playmakers.
The Dolphins signed Scarlett to a futures contract Tuesday, which will allow the running back the opportunity to try out for the team during the 2021 season.
Scarlett — who won state titles at U-School in 2012 and Aquinas in 2014 before rushing for 1,846 yards with 12 touchdowns in three seasons with the Gators — has bounced around the NFL during his first two seasons in the league.
