Dolphins’ second-round pick Robert Hunt gets another shot to earn starting spot

Miami Dolphins rookie offensive lineman Robert Hunt has gone from being a luxury to a necessity in less than a week.

For most of this season, the former Louisiana-Lafayette standout the Dolphins selected in the second round of April’s draft has served as the team’s top reserve and sixth man on the offensive line.

But with Jesse Davis on the COVID-19 list and Solomon Kindley being slowed by a foot injury, the Dolphins (6-4) need Hunt to bolster the right side of the line heading into Sunday’s 1 p.m. road game against the New York Jets (0-10).
