Colbert, nicknamed “Peloton Don” by a friend, was approached by Robert Bailey, the president of Rosenhaus Sports, to see if Colbert might be interested in turning his fervent Peloton usage into a fundraiser.
So he got fellow Peloton enthusiast Seattle Seahawks linebacker Quandre Diggs and New England Patriots defensive back Adrian Phillips to help, with each player donating $1 to the Jackson Health Foundation for every mile they complete this week. Proceeds will go to the hospital and front-line workers in their efforts to fight the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“These ladies and gentlemen are out here putting their lives on the line every day,” Colbert told WPLG Local 10 News.
