Jerome Baker’s stay on the COVID-19 list didn’t even last a week as the Miami Dolphins’ starting linebacker was cleared to begin practicing with his team on Monday.
Baker, the Dolphins’ starting inside linebacker, was one of seven players on the Dolphins COVID-19 reserve list. Rookie tailback Malcolm Perry became the eighth when he was put on the list Monday, more than a week after the rookie class had reported.
Perry, the Dolphins’ 2020 seventh-round pick, had previously donated plasma to help others in their recovery, but that doesn’t mean he had ever tested positive for the coronavirus that has created a worldwide pandemic.
