MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins’ re-invention of the team’s offensive line unit began with Tuesday’s trade for offensive tackle Greg Little, but it didn’t stop there.
Shortly after acquiring the Carolina Panthers’ 2019 second-round pick for a 2022 seventh-round selection, the Dolphins waived offensive linemen Jonathan Hubbard, Tyler Marz and Timon Parris — three players who had all struggled in training camp.
To meet the NFL’s roster requirements the Dolphins also waived defensive tackle Jerome Johnson and cornerback Jaytlin Askew, who was waived injured, which means he’ll likely receive an injury settlement.
Miami also placed receiver Allen Hurns on injured reserve, which means the seven-year veteran won’t play for the Dolphins in 2021.
