Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has shed the protective black athletic tape he used to support his left thumb during practice – an indication, along with his career-high performance last week against the Bengals, that the injury continues to improve.
Still, Tagovailoa has been a limited participant during Dolphins practice this week, but that should not interfere with his ability to start for Miami (8-4) in Sunday’s home game against the Kansas City Chiefs (11-1).
“I think he’s feeling better from that standpoint,” Flores said Thursday of Tagovailoa, who threw for 296 yards with a touchdown pass in Miami’s 19-7 win last week.
