The Miami Dolphins got some encouraging news Saturday with the return of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to the team after a brief absence.
Fitzpatrick is expected to participate in the Dolphins’ practice Saturday, and his presence will be welcomed after a rough day at the office for quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Rosen on Friday.
Fitzpatrick, entering his 16th NFL season, is expected to be the Dolphins’ starter when the season begins on the road against the New England Patriots on Sept. 13.
While Fitzpatrick himself has not looked spectacular during the first week of practice, Tagovailoa and Rosen accounted for six completions each, only one touchdown, three interceptions, and were “sacked” three times during their day to share the quarterback repetitions on Friday.
