A: It’s well known that I’m a card-carrying member of the Jesse Davis fan club because I’ve watched this former practice squad standout work his way up Miami’s depth chart and become an NFL starter.
And despite what some critics think, Davis had a solid season in 2019 despite playing both tackle spots, and finishing out the second half of the season playing with an injured left elbow.
Anyone who thinks this 41-game starter won’t be one of the team’s top five offensive linemen in 2020 is being shortsighted, and don’t understand football.
Davis has played every position but center on Miami’s offensive line the past three seasons, and if the Dolphins needed him to play center he could probably do that too with a week of practice.
