And Dolphins owner Steve Ross took it for a ride Thursday as team personnel toured the building, marking the end of the team’s mandatory minicamp this week.
Ross crossed his arms on his chest and landed right on a padded cushion with a beaming smile before being helped up by Dolphins general manager Chris Grier.
Ross, the billionaire real estate mogul, spent approximately $135 million to construct the team’s new practice facility, which will be used for the first time during Dolphins training camp in late July.
The Dolphins will transition to the new facility in the next month and leave their Davie facility at Nova Southeastern University, where they have been headquartered since 1993.
